Señor:
Le escribimos en protesta de los arrestos y enjuiciamientos el 17 de julio de 16 trabajadores en huelga y sus partidarios en la planta de Suiza Dairy en Río Piedras. Fueron atacados por un contingente de docenas de policías con equipo antidisturbios para despejar las puertas para darle paso a un equipo esquirol de limpieza. Los detenidos incluyen el presidente del sindicato en huelga, la Central General de Trabajadores (CGT), y otros funcionarios y miembros de la CGT, y del sindicato de maestros, FMPR. Todos fueron acusados de desafiar una orden judicial rompehuelgas.
¡Esto es un ultraje! ¡Exigimos que se retiren todos los cargos inmediatamente! ¡Manos fuera de los huelguistas de Suiza Dairy y sus partidarios!

Sir:
We are writing to protest the July 17 arrest and prosecution of 16 striking workers and supporters at the Suiza Dairy plant in the Rio Piedras district of San Juan. They were set upon by a contingent of dozens of police in riot gear in order to clear the gates for a scab cleaning crew. Among those arrested were the president of the union on strike, the Central General de Trabajadores (CGT), and other officials and members of the CGT and the FMPR teachers union. All were charged with defying a union-busting court order.
This is an outrage! We demand all charges be dropped immediately! Hands off the Suiza Dairy strikers and their supporters!
